2026 MAZDA CX-30 with available options shown above.

If you thought that the design of the Mazda CX-30 couldn’t possibly get any more stylish, think again. For its 2026 model year, this subcompact SUV shows off dazzling exterior updates as well as exclusive interior enhancements. Mechanically, it’s still an efficient workhorse that makes it feel more spirited to drive compared to other vehicles in its class. You’ll have much more than surface-level knowledge about it after you’re done reading this overview, and you may even want to buy it from us once you’re finished reading!

Design

Now available in 2.5 S Air Edition and 2.5 Turbo Air Edition trims, the Mazda CX-30 finds more ways to express itself. The signature color that it displays is Aero Gray Metallic, which is more of a muted tone that denotes a mature and premium car. These versions also add dark accenting all throughout the body, with some of the more prominent ones being black exterior badging, aluminum roof rails in gloss black, and 18-inch alloy wheels finished in a Black Metallic coating. The side mirrors are also painted black and come with integrated turn signals — a satisfying sight for other motorists to glance at when you plan on making your exit on I-75. If you’re behind the wheel of the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus trim, anyone who sees your car approaching in their rear-view mirror will get to take a peek at the shimmering gloss black front grille.

Performance

The 2026 Mazda CX-30 has more than enough potential to be your go-to vehicle for just about every situation, and you can even tweak it so that the SUV excels in the areas that you want. Working to the benefit of young professionals with long commutes, the standard FWD version with a 24/31/27 MPG city/hwy/combined1 estimated fuel economy rating. Its standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine cranks out a well-balanced 186 horsepower and 186 lb.-ft. of torque, which is ample for a car of its size and weight. Faster 0-to-60 MPH sprint times and quicker acceleration are made possible by the optional AWD arrangement and a 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder powertrain that produces up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft. of torque. In this configuration, the Mazda CX-30 can compete with the likes of certain sports cars on the market.

Technology

You’ll want to enroll in MyMazda Connected Services2 before the intense heat of a typical Florida summer strikes, as it allows you to start and stop your SUV with a long press of an icon on the MyMazda app. That way, you can prepare to get ready for a trip to the Punta Gorda Nature Park with your children while the vehicle cools the interior down. If you find that the cabin is a bit too cool for your liking once you’re inside, use the available Alexa built-in3 voice assistant to tweak the climate conditions without getting distracted. The optional Active Driving Display projects your current velocity and local speed limits on the windshield, giving you a convenient way to gauge how fast you’re going. Another useful feature to have is the optional wireless charging pad, which you can find by lifting up the center console. Contact us if you want to learn more about the technological features within the Mazda CX-30, as there are plenty more that we didn’t have time to cover!
